Love its all about rewarding your puppy :)

I'm also a new mommy and im also potty training lol .So let me help you out a bit. first of all, it is going to take patience...LOTS OF IT. Each time your puppy pees in ur carpet..try to catch him in the act, never EVER hit him..he doesnt understand why youre hitting him. Just a loud "NO!" will do the job. after , carry him and take him to the spot where u want him to do his business...leave him there for a while. puppies like their alone time when doing their business just like us. If your puppy does a good job he needs a reward. anything he may like (you will have to try many things ...most of the time treats will do the job). he will understand little by little that he will be rewarded if he repeats wat he did... && NEVER give him treats after he has done something bad. i give my louis half a puppy biscuit since hes small...i suppose thats what you will do also..i believe your only supposed to give them 1 to 2 treats a day (so if u split them in half..thats four)...depending on ur pups size so.. splittting his biscuits helps a lot. Well i hope i have helped at least a bit. good luck with the training, once he gets the idea you'll have such a relief
