I think it is ok for them to play...but supervised. I have a Boxer and a Yorkie and they play around when I take Harley out for walks. Sometimes my Boxer can get a little wound up and it scares me when he starts bouncing around. I'm scared he will end up stepping on Harley (the boxer is prob 80-90 pounds). Whenever he starts playing rough I just take Harley inside. They get along great though.
