So the vet did a swab and a gave her some antibiotics and an anti-inflamatory. It was the same banana flavoured antibiotic that they gave our other yorkie, Prissy, a few months ago when she had a UTI. Prissy LOVED the medicine. Gypsy hates it and runs and hides in the back of her kennel when she sees me coming with the syringe!

The best part of yesterday was that Prissy needed her annual check up and shots. So my dear husband got to cart two dogs to the vet. He now has an entirely new appreciation for all the things I do . . .
It takes a situation like this for hubbys to get it.

I guess I should consider myself lucky, since hubby is in charge of the dogs when I'm away at dog shows.....

On a recent trip out of state. I get a call from him telling me that one of my girls is acting wierd, anxious. I asked what if anything that had been done was out of the ordinary. He informed me that he'd bathed Tahlulha and she was chewing her hind quarters and had drawn blood. I told him to put her back in the tub since he'd evidently hadn't rinsed her well. His response was, you don't understand and hung up. A few minutes later he called back and informed me that he was taking her to the vet. When he returned he told me that the Vet told him to fire the groomer. A hundred dollar vet bill that he could have avoided had he listened to me. He learned the hard way, but at least he's not afraid of taking them to the vet.
