Do you know if he is marking already? If he is, neutering may not stop him. Also, your male may pick up the habit from him, especially since you say he's the alpha in your pack.

Just like kids, dogs seem to love to share bad habits! I have who friend who does Yorkie rescue. She had a neutered male who never marked his entire life until one particular rescue stayed with them as a foster. At ten years old, her guy started marking and didn't stop after the rescue went to his forever home.

Ask yourself if you can accept the worse cases scenario where both males mark and have to wear belly bands.

I would also recommend letting the three of them meet on neutral territory beforehand to see how they interact.
