It's been about 6 weeks I think since he had all his hair inside ripped out by that awful groomer and left him extremely red and raw but it does seem to have grown back quite a bit. I smelled his cute little ears and don't smell a thing. I also have the ear cleaning pads. Someone wrote to use them regularly but about how often? Thanks again for answering my questions.
I clean their ears once every week after bath time. Sometimes I notice a little wax build up or nothing at all, but I want them (esp Mimi) to get used to me touching the inside of their ears. After her ordeal (hair being ripped out) NOBODY can go inside her ear. When I'm brushing her (which she loves), I'll sometimes go in & pull couple of ear hairs out when she's nt suspecting it.
After you use the ear cleaning pads, make sure the ear is completely dry. I just clean their ears w/cotton & ear cleaner, then just wipe again w/a dry cotton ball. The hairs inside the ear canal should also be easy to pull out (little by little) & usu doesn't hurt them.
