! Gosh, this sounds scary, but you sound like you have great confidence in your vet, that's very good. Has he done a lot of these surgeries before? It's true, their little manhoods cannot be out for extended periods of time, it can cut off blood supply. I'm so sorry that surgery is needed, I know that thought is very scary.
