Glad to hear Moses is doing well. I too owned a Yorkie with three legs, Hope lost hers after she jumped from the counter top trying to avoid having a bath. I only turned away for a second and she'd jumped, breaking her front leg. She was operated on the very next morning and returned with a pin and cast. I was too inexperienced to question about the cast, she developed gangrern and had emergency surgery to remove the leg.We collected her on Saturday morning by bus, one ignorant woman actually said 'it was desgusting and she should be put to sleep', why? She was 11months old when this happened and she lived for another 11 years, thourouly spoilt by everyone. She was he bravest little dog I ever knew and never let her disability stand in her way, in fact if one of the others were sick she was like a little nurse to them, staying close and comforting them. Its beem 3.5 years since we lost her but her bravery will be for ever remembered. |
