I am so sorry about your baby. I was reading through this whole thread and wanted to say we have alot of copperheads where I live and one of my pups has been bitten twice. My vet gave me the same advice as yours. They really handle the bites very well. My vet just gave us pain meds and antibiotics for infection. My girl did well with no ill effects except her hair fell out where she was swollen from the bite. Also beware of walking sticks- two of my pups have been sprayed in the face by them. It stings really bad but no lasting effects. I hope your baby's eye heals up as good as new and again I am so sorry. I know you are so upset but these little guys are amazing!!! They take it better than we do and heal up quickly. God Bless
