  Thank you Mardelin.  I will do this.  Again, I appreciate the advice. Can't thank you enough! 
Just as a side note, I have Scout and the puppies upstairs in their own bedroom so, to my surprise, she ventured out and was hanging out on the stairs!  I guess she's been missing the action down here! lol.  I just went up to check on the puppies just in case she was trying to get my attention but there they were, cuddling up to each other.  They are so cute!
