Increase mommies food intake: Food makes milk.

Most think when the whelping is done, mother takes over completely. The next 3 weeks will be your most busiest time......So, put on your mommy hat.

Keep the pups and mom out of drafts, temp in the room should be about 80 degrees, pups can not retain their own body temp for about 3 weeks.....So, take their weights and temp daily. Keep mother's breasts clean and flowing.....Everytime she potties, clean her private area and her breast with baby wipes before putting her back in with babies. The first few days she won't want to leave them. So you'll have to physically take her out to potty. Eventually she'll do it on her own. When you take the pups in for tail docking and dew claw removal, don't take her with you. It'll stress her out.
