Just pull out the hairs coming out of the ear canal. You're lucky Uni let's you pick her ear hairs out. I can't go anywhere near Mimi's inside ear...I think her last groomer pulled the hair out all at once w/ a hemostat. They grab the bulk of hair & twist it couple of times & rip it out. Her ears were red & inflammed for days.
About the powder, only apply it lightly & on the outside cuz my vet told me some dogs come in w/clogged ears from ear powder...& the owners wonder, 'I don't know why he doesn't come when I call his name anymore'.
