The last time we spoke was last Sunday, b/c they were on their way out of town. As my dh said, they have had lots of time to discuss it during their trip, so hopefully, it won't be an issue. I keep thinking that the husband doesn't know how much money they are going to owe me, and when he finds out, the story might change.

You're right; another unplanned pregnancy is a definite possibility if they get another girl, b/c she told me she might want to put her boy up for stud.

I am a nervous wreck thinking about this. They get back in town on Sunday, and I don't know what's going to happen. I keep wondering if there's any way they could just 'take' a puppy. I mean, can we say no, and that's that, or can they fight that?

I just keep going back in my mind to 13 days ago when she said she didn't want to hurt my feelings by not taking the boy. Then her dh changes his mind.

Like I said, I would bet anything that it's related to the money. If he doesn't know how much they still owe me, he would never entertain the thought of getting a girl elsewhere, and getting one of ours for what he thinks is a cheap amount would work for him, even if it's not the girl his wife wants.

We'll see.
