Don't want to start a heated thread, but I was contacted by pm for information regarding Jeff Dane. I expressed my opinion and then recieved a rather rude response. If anyone would like to contribute factual information of their experiences to support or deny our overall opinion of this breeder, please feel free to share.

Hi ********, I am glad to hear your mom is the exception rather than the rule. Jeff Dane is well known as one of the worst miller/brokers on line. There are quite a few people on this board that have had direct dealings with him and though his sales tactics are impeccable, his post market behavior is appalling. Anyone that has ever bought a dog from him that displayed any kind of health issues (and there are many) was replied to with rudeness and disregard. He buys pups from auction and backyard breeders in lots and then resells for huge profit. There are over 50 yorkie pups listed on his site right now in addition to Poodles, Poms,Chis, Pekes,Papillons,Shih tzus and mixes. He has bragged about breeding a york to a Rottweiler to produce a kick-ass yorkie. He has sold sick, tiny dogs for $10,000. The ACA registration he uses is well known as a mill-producers registry and is not worth the paper it's printed on, but functions as a good sales tool.
One of the members here was ignorant as to the background of the dogs she got from him, believed his pitch and unfortunately chose to breed the poor pet quality dogs she purchased and had a liver shunt puppy die in her hands. He is a master at manipulation and uses multiple websites and e-mails to counter complaints lodged against him with false testimonials and slamming tactics. His sole motivation is greed. There is no way possible for anyone to properly care for and socialize the hundreds of dogs that come in and out of his possession on a regular basis. Any of the reputable breeders (whispersmom, yorkierose, feminvstr,wnalegria and more) on this site will tell you that he is just very bad news. Our opinion is not based on jealousy, but on the heartbreaking stories we have all heard from so many people that lost cherished pets due to his unconscionable practices and on our true love of the breed.
There are plenty of good breeders out there as alternatives. AKC.org, YTCA.org and the questions to ask a breeder on
www.buyingapuppy.com are good resources to begin with. Please look elsewhere for a pup.
Don't just accept my word on this, check any search engine on line or put his name into the search on here and you will see both opinions and can judge for yourself.

All you told me is hear say, I searched Google and there was one guy named Ben from 1 year ago that was bad mouthing Jeff Dane, none of Ben's emails or contact infomation worked when I tried to ask him a quesion, how can his statements be confirmed, can any of what you are saying be confirmed? Is there anyone on this Yorkietalk board willing to state any of this slander against Jeff Dane in court? Maybe you? I would think if he is and his business were as bad as you say he is, he would be barred from the AKC,,,, he is not (I see AKC pups listed on his site along with ACA), he would have complaints at the Better Business bureau?,,, I checked he has none that I can find, and if you say he sells hundreds of pups every year and only has ghost figures writing messages on the Internet web sites complaining about him,,, not a one could I contact back, why is Google quoted so much here, where is the fact?,,, Where is the hatrid coming from? Bad news travels like wildfire, good news gets over looked. Look at the Iraq war. My mom and a few on this board rave about yorkiepup.com but that seems to be not interesting enough to talk about here. This board wants to bash, and bash. I find that very imature. The word Teacup,,,, my God, please grow up.
