I get this too. Bernie has topped out at 9 lbs at 19 months. Most people this he isn't a pure bred yorkie because of his large size. It doesn't make me mad it just kind of hurts my feelings, makes me feel like I did something wrong raising him. He just loves to eat! At Bernie's last checkup the vet said that Bernie needed to loose 2 pounds, so I have cut back on treats some. But I don't think there is any way he can loose 2 whole pounds. As long as I can get him to the point where I can feel his ribs, I think that he will be ok. Anyone else been told that their yorkie needed to loose weight?
