Yes you can ask. They were playing fine and last night he pinned her to the ground by her neck, and would not let go. She was yelping, crying and peed herself. He has done this before in play, but last night I had to lift him off, and held him up in the air just to get him to release her. It was so aggressive and I know he was just playing hard, just too frightening to think Mia could get hurt. If they were more evenly sized, or if Mia was tougher it could work.
He is a sweet dog, but after that husband saw that he said re home him, that dog is gone! He has toppled her a few times while they were playing. She is small boned, he is large. We don't want to keep him isolated, and we do not want her to get hurt.
I have had lots of emails for him already, I have one family in my area really interested. I am interviewing people, and want to keep him in the area if I can. Visitation rights you know!! |
