I'm not so sure if they'd jump or not. If they see something worth going after they might just leap. We were at my brother's last fall visiting and he has one of those cat walks that overlooks the downstairs living room from upstairs. It's high due to the ceiling being vaulted. Roxie ran towards it barking because she could hear that her daddy came in. I of course was able to stop her because I was nervous about that thing anyway. She could have slipped right through those rails no problem. Maybe I'm just overly nervous but it's not worth the risk to me.
