I was told the odor can be detected by a dog at least a couple of miles away. Too bad she wasn't a cat, those crying boys would have told you what was going on.

I have heard that too. I feel stupid for not knowing she was in heat, but I have beat myself up enough over this.

Now, we just need to work out this neighbor/puppy thing.

It might work out okay, b/c we plan on keeping the girl, and my neighbor really wanted the girl. She hinted that she might not be interested in the boy, until her dh changed his mind. If she takes the money, she can get the girl she wants. She just needs to get this across to her husband. She settled for the boy she has now, and if she keeps ours, she will never get the girl she wants.

So, I can only hope it works out for everyone.
