I just thought I would give it a shot and ask on here. I can't seem to find a vet who will look at my gerbil!
He is about 2 1/2 years old. His eyes are completely shut and won't open. He is eating and drinking, and chewing up bedding. Although, his activity is slowed dramatically. I'm thinking eye infection maybe. Everyone keeps telling me to give it up, the gerbil is just old. I feel bad though watching him suffer, and not doing anything about it. It just makes me sad. I've taken care of this little guy for over the past two years.
