i would go directly to internal medicine specialist as this is not normal and the bacon could have caused pancreatitis. What meds did they give? The high fat in bacon could have caused the pancreatitis as this was a direct relation -- Your vet does not sound very good sorry she should have been fasted 48-72 hrs on iv fluids and no food at all. She has now relapsed because of this and this happened to my dexter as it was not handled right in the beginning so then they get more sick. Was the amylase nad lipase high? Were the trigylcerides high? Get the blood work from the vet

There is an excellent internist Dr Greene in New Jersey but it is by referral only so pm me and my friend can put a referral in for you.

Liver shunt is a possibility but i am leaning more to the pancreas since this all happened after the bacon.

If it gets severe enought the dog can get diabetes or epi and my concern is the spaced out ness is showing a sign of diabetes.

This is not just a normal upset vomitting blood and bloody diarhea

what happens is when they get pancreatitis severe enough the pancreas can start eating the other organs and many can die from this - sorry to scare you but this is very serious

Is she doing a prayer position with butt in air? is she tossing and turning as if not to get comfortable - these are all signs of pain as pancreatitis is very painful
