I had the same thing happen to me once... my husbands pit bull puppy got a hold of my Pomeranian and almost killed her. We loaded her up and got rid of her the same day....I hated to but the vet told me once they had a taste of blood they will most likely kill again. I am sorry for your loss..my thoughts and prayers are with you.
