wow. i am so sorry that you got hurt and your neighbors didn't help you. that is terrible!
it's like you are already hurt physically and then for them to stand there and not help probably hurts your feelings A LOT too! i am so glad that you caught yourself and you are ok. you little boy is very sweet.
i am glad that your hubby is going to get another neighbor's contact info. in case you need help. i guess you can't trust the ones who didn't help you today.
i think that part of the reason people don't help others is because they are selfish, and another part of the reason is because they get 'punished' for helping others.
we've all heard stories where people get sued for trying to help other people. and also, just from personal experience, i think people can be really rude. like it generally REALLY sucks to hold the door open for people. usually i try to be nice, and i would hold the door open for other people. but then a lot of times i end up standing there until everyone on the street has entered the building...wth. do they all not have arms or something. no they are just selfish, so i usually start regretting it, but if i drop the door on someone, then they get all mad...i don't know why they feel like they have the right to be angry?
or when you decide to let a pedestrian cross the street, then all of a sudden it's like the whole store just exited the building and now you are stuck sitting there for a year...
