I am so sad right now. We went away and boarded Sebastian at a kennel that he has been to several times. When I brought him home he vomited once and was not acting like himself. He was lethargic, tail down, wouldn't eat much, couldn't muster the energy to go up and down even a single step to go outside to go potty. I took him to the vet and found that he has a fever of 104. They did a CBC? blood test and didn't find anything out of the ordinary. They sent me home with some meds and two days later he has not improved at all. They did more tests. They said all his organs look fine, but his white count is rising, and his temp is now 104.8. They gave me an antibiotic since there is a good chance it is a bacterial infection. They also sent away for a test for autoimmune diseases. I won't know much more until Monday. If he starts to get better over the weekend, then the antibiotic is working and it is most likely a bacterial infection. If he doesn't then they will have to see how the other test comes back to know how to proceed.
I am just so upset. He's only 2 years old and he has been through so much. Just over a year ago we went through the traumatic incident where he swallowed a penny and was poisoned by the zinc and almost died. I thought we had finally gotten to a good place and now this
