Just a quick background - we added Lane to our family almost 7 months ago. She was a rescue from a puppymill bust and estimated to be around 2 when we adopted her. She has come a long way in a short time and we think that is in large part due to Rory, our yorkie that we have had since she was a baby. Rory is about to be 2, so we think they are about a year apart.
Anyways, they sprayed my building for bugs yesterday. I feel pretty certain this is not the first time they have sprayed since we have had Lane, but I can't be sure. The girls go to doggie daycare everyday while we are at work, so when we all returned home Lane went into the master bath and then came running out tail tucked, sniffing. We couldn't figure out what it could be, and then we realized the only thing different is that the bug guy had come. Rory is acting 100% normal, and we don't smell anything. She isn't any better this morning in terms of being more confident - she is running around almost aimlessly tail tucked - it is so sad to watch. She is still eating but not right out of her bowl. My boyfriend had to stand in the middle of the kitchen and feed her her food, but she was starving she afraid to eat out of her bowl like normal. I know the bowls are clean because we do pre-made raw for dinner and you have to scrub the bowls to prevent the spread of bacteria. I guess our theory is the pesticide might remind her of something they used when she was in the mill. She is also back to barking at every little sound, just like she did when we first got her. I don't know what to do to help, but it is breaking my heart. Also, I thought I'd mention my boyfriend took them for a walk last night just to get her out of the house and she acted fine on the walk.
It's probably worth mentioning that on Wednesday the doggie daycare called right after I got in to work and said Lane had bloody diarrhea. This is extremely unusual for her to have any sort of loose stool. I immediately took her to the vet where they felt very certain the blood was from the colon and not further up in her digestive system. They gave her an anti-diarrheal injection (rather than repeated doses of immodium, b/c her poop is usually almost too firm) and an antibiotic, metronidazole, two times daily. Almost immediately after the injection she started perking back up, has been eating and drinking normally (well, BEFORE the scare, but we are making sure she eats as she has an appetite. I doubt this is related, but I suppose it somehow could be. Her poops are back to normal from what we have seen, and the daycare is very good about letting know if there is any change too. The vet did mention if she started to lose her appetitie and refuse to drink or started to vomit, we should bring her back in as she could end up with HGE.
I don't know what else to do to help her, but she is almost frantic running around.
I am watching my girls on the webcams, and they are acting normal running around and playing or else laying on the handler's lap.

I really think it is something to do with our place.
It really makes me wonder what kind of pesticide they are using - of course they tell you it is safe for dogs, but I can tell you I won't be letting them spray again.
Okay, HELP! Any suggestions?
