 re: letting your dog know you are the boss
Oh my goodness, my boys know I am the boss. See, I make sure that they know I'm in charge and what I say goes, but they still know that I love them more than anything, and will protect them from anything that could harm them. Sure, I punish them when they need it, but they are also spoiled little boys who get way too many toys and treats (hey, who could blame me? my puppies are precious!). I have never seen them get aggressive with a person, whether they touch or take away food/treats/toys, pull the hair/ears, or anything else. They put up with anything people do, which is good since I have brothers and friends with kids. I figure I'm the one who has to discipline the dogs, but I'm also the one that they go to for cuddles and everything else! |
