Oh, I'm so sorry to read about Uni; she's just the sweetest little dog and so smart. I just have to tell you how I feel about the jumping; I know dogs love to do this, but I think Yorkies should come with a warning sticker, "DO NOT ALLOW TO JUMP!" We have steps by the bed and couch, and if Joey jumps off the couch, he has to go right back on it, and use the steps. This really works; he's only jumped twice since we started doing this over a year ago, and he use to jump 10 or more times a day. Joey had one bad jump as a pup, and I got serious about training him to use the steps. Even with the best of surgeries, it can be redamaged if she's jumping. I know you are so good with training, and you can teach her not to jump. I know you have had a lot of financial setbacks this year, and you always have such a wonderful attitude; I'm praying this won't get you down either, and hope you can find the best treatment for Uni.
