We do have a room booked at an Inn that is about halfway on the way there - they allow dogs and just charged an extra $10 for him - given that we had no other options that were anywhere close to half way, it was good enough for me.. lol.

Keeping and seating w/ him will help alot. Many options to choose from for calming your pet that you do not need a vet for. Go easy on food and water cause of car sickness. Give him a big kiss and good luck!
