I have had my home broken into, with a dog in the house, house locked
up tight and an alarm warning on the front tree and the front door!
I lived in a small village along the Hudson when it happened. If they want
to get in they will. They were never found and I hope the died from an overdose! No I don't feel bad in saying that. They took things that can
never be replaced. They did not take the dog, a little terrier mix gated
in the kitchen. Had he been a Yorkie they probably would have.
You have every right to be nervous. I don't want to scare you but
it's true. I would get a light timer and set it different each day.
They don't ramdom rob they watch and learn your pattern. Set
the timer to turn on different times different days so they think
someone may be in the house. Use a dead bolt.
I had a ranch and they broke the back masterbedroom window and
climbed in and stole everypiece of jewerly I had. In and out in minutes. Memories that can never be replaced.
I really had no alarm just posted the signs to let people think I did.
Of course after the fact I had one put in.
