My hubby laughs at me but I think it works, I personally have never had a problem with Gizmo crying when I leave, (thank god) my problem on the other hand is he wants to tag along to drive mom to work ha haa. Anyhoo... I leave the disney channel on for him and set up his favorite spot with his blankey and toys with a bright light on. Believe it or not he loves to sit or lay there and watch the wiggles and dora and all that other stuff. You may want to try that. I did it because my neighborhood is soooooo quiet that way he can hear voices and doesn't feel alone. Hope this works for you!!
