Thumbs up

Just give him sometime to get into you and your routine. From what it sounds like he was used for breeding and was not socialized or even bonded with anyone at all. As he feels more secure with you and your family he won't be such a velcro pup. Once he's neutered and you get him on a good dog food he'll be less food aggresive and hungry all the time. Just give him lots of love and time and he'll forget his past and will become a relaxed boy. Congratulations....
