I am so sorry to hear about your husband.

I raised a cleft pallet baby and she will be 3 yrs old in a couple days!!! Her cleft is in her soft pallat. I did not have her corrected. After a ton of research I decided against it.

If you ever have any questions....I will be happy to help

I only had to restart a couple of times. Almost time for another one!

Haven't got a name just yet -- so far calling her "Little Miss" since we went to Mississippi to get her. My sister (visiting from up north) came with me and held her all the way home.

I have to tell you how special this little baby is to me and why I know this was the right thing to do. I have not told many people here but last September I lost my dear husband after a long battle with cancer. That is why I was absent from the forum so long. His birthday was yesterday -- the same day this little puppy was born. In fact, I was at the cemetary "talking to him" as she was being born. I think she is a precious gift and will do everything to give her the best chance possible.

I will be happy for any advice, success stories, and especially prayers for my new baby girl! I have only just begun to study up on the cleft palate issue and what our options will be down the road. But I will do whatever she needs. I just have a good feeling about this!
