Your message about your silver yorkie actually brought a smile to me. Many years ago I bred a litter of 'pet' yorkies, [I was younger and not so wise].. There were 5 in the litter and one little male was also born silver. He went to live with my sister and her family as they owned the dad Bobby. Yes he had a poor coat, virtually non existant in places, and a crooked mouth, but everyone loved him and he was 14 years old when he passed away. No he wasn't deaf or blind either. A few years later while at a show I over heard a conversation between 2 other exhibitors who were indignitly stating to another there was no such thing as a silver born yorkie, i knew otherwise but kept quiet being new to the whole thing, so I applaud Breeders in America for acnowledging it as a fault and its existance but I just wanted to say that they can live long and reasonably healthy lives. Laddie never went to the vets for any health problems in all of his 14 years.
