mucous is the body's response to irritation. It could be as simple as over indulgence in vegetables and her bowel is irritated or it could be worms or coccidia or giardia. When was her last fecal? When was she wormed last? If she develops really smelly very loose poops I would take a sample to the vet to test for coccidia. How old is she?
