The only difference between her 1st and 2nd heat was the swelling . . her first heat she swelled up so much, it almost looked like a large strawberry . . .the 2nd heat she did swell, but it wasn't that huge pronounced swelling . . .but I am assuming that is because before she went into her first heat, her vulva was still a little bitty thing . . . |
Ok! Her first day of heat was not the first day of her cycle. It's:
One week of coming in. Pink and swelling. This is the first day of her cycle.
One week in. Showing Color (you count from the first day of this if you plan to breed)
One week going out. The time you breed. Usually on the 10th & 12th day from her first day of showing color. You'll notice that the vulva will soften, ready to accept the male.
