What I do remember though, was there was a big sign like "Welcome to....." and to take a pic with the sign you have to go up a bit of stairs and sit on a bench (like bleachers). Well, it being the 80s I was wearing thin spandex bike pants. As soon as I sat down, I got an a$$ full of splinters! I jumped up and screamed, and of course my dad called me a baby and told me to sit back down, giving me a second round of a$$ splinters!
After taking the painful pic with a fake forced smile, my mom helped me out... by making me lay face down in the back seat of our rental car with my pants down and my bare butt out while she pulled out the splinters one by one.
That was a fun vaca. |
OUCH!!!! That sounds sooo painful. Good thing your mom was there. lol
I tried the glue and it worked GREAT!!! -- no more splinters/thorns/needles/Evil Cacti No See Ems/stickers (I think that was the word I was trying to think of) !!!
I have been walking on the side of my foot for several days to avoid stepping on the thorns in the bottom of my foot. Now I have a sore foot from walking like that and I will have to concentrate on walking the right way again. lol I was so anxious to remove the stickers that I couldn't wait for the glue to dry and ripped it off while it was still 'tacky'. It still worked. Phew. Glad that's over.
THANK YOU!!! to everyone who posted.
