You should talk to your groomer about dropping off/picking up. Our groomer is busiest in the mornings, so she can't always say an early drop off means early pickup (I have two, so it takes even longer). You should also ask about the charge for the cut before you leave so there are no unpleasant surprises when you pick your baby up.

I talk to my groomer like I would my hair stylist: I know the look I want, and she knows how to actually get it. The one thing I'm specific on is Ella's ears--I hate when they shave the tips, so I only have those trimmed with scissors. My groomer has never said acted angry or annoyed when I talk to her about what I want, but she'll tell me if something will be hard to do.
