We went through this with Reggie and then when we had him groomed for the first time they used an oatmeal shampoo on him and he had even worse dander and scratching when he got home. I mentioned it to the groomer the next time I took him in for a nail clipping and she said lets switch him to Dermapet Malacetic shampoo. She sells it and I bought some to use on him myself for his next bath. It is a soapless formula and you lather them up and let it soak for 5-10 mins before you rinse. It helps with dry skin and skin allergies. It worked wonders for him! I use every time he is bathed now even if I don't do the "soak". In the winter when his skin seems more dry I will do the soak. He doesn't have the dander since we switched him to this either. My vet was so impressed with how Reggie's skin has cleared up that she wanted me to write down the name of it so she could recommend it to other clients.
