Does anyone know if a baby onesie would be better than the collar? He seems to trip over the collar when he goes to get some water or move a little.
Thank you all so much for the support, it really helped me throughout this terrifying experience! |
It's great that you and your boyfriend are taking shifts, and I'm so happy to hear your pup's doing better! Your baby is very very cute.
As far as a onesie, I might ask the vet. Addie got spayed and I tried onesies but she kept squirming and I got concerned. I called the vet and got the exact same collar you have for your pup and I was told my vet doesn't recommend onesies. He said it's best not to have anything covering the sutured area.
Mine trips over her cone thing a little sometimes, too. I kind of puff it up into a cone shape so it's not down. This way she's still not able to reach the sutures and she's less likely to trip on it.
But your pup's injury and my pup's spay are completely different and located in different places. So I would ask the vet.
