I take this one step further. If we are out in public with our dogs and an adult approaches them. I am very leary. I had a person come with their arms stretched out towards my dog ( who I was carrying in MY arms) and he got within a few inches of reaching for my dog and I turned my body away from him as I walked past. I don't care WHO YOU ARE! Just cause I have a cute dog doesn't give YOU the RIGHT to touch, pet, or grab MY dog!!!! especially without asking. Same thing goes for kids.
