 Ellie's thyroid tumor--update
Hi,
I'm still not quite sure how to post messages, etc. on here...never was too computer literate! Today is a tough one. I'm looking for all the feedback and suggestions I can get...and some support again, sorry....my vet just phoned back this morning, after talking to Ellie's diagnostician. Ellie has cancer...and the vet said the ONLY place for the canine radioactive iodine treatment (which is still quite experimental in dogs--as it it as he said "dangerous") is in Tennessee at the vetinary hospital (u of Tenn)....there are no statistics regarding survival etc. because it is all so new.
Is this too traumatic for Ellie? Financially, I don't even have the money probably but would beg, and borrow if need be. I have a meeting this afternoon with an oncologist, dr. Altsarraf (spelling?)....
