I am not crazy about the smell either. Much prefer Espree or Biogroom for the smell. But....I ordered a gallon of the Minksheen to share with my mom. Her papillons have a sensitivity to every flea product she has tried. I don't like giving mine the Frontline Plus right now, as I have a new puppy that is a licker. So, if the Minksheen really works well to keep the fleas and ticks away, it will be worth it to put up with a little medicinal smell.

Had never heard the dandruff complaint about Minksheen. I wonder if it is just the difference in shampoo and maybe it is cutting out some old shampoo buildup? You know how we are supposed to use a different shampoo every once in a while to get rid of the buildup on the hair shaft? Maybe that is what the Minksheen did? I would use it a few more times and see if you find the "dandruff" goes away.
