I tried to introduce them. What I got was the hiss and growl with backing up and running upstairs to one of the boys rooms and I didn't see him for a couple of days. (my punishment I guess) I won't say they are the best of friends now, but the do tolerate each other and occasionally play with each other. Usually short lived and one sided on Kyrstals side. Just a note, feed your kitties up high and don't let your puppy eat their food. Krystal would throw up after eating the cat's food. I had Krystal blocked into our very large vanity/bathroom which didn't last long and she's been in my bed ever since. Make sure to get to the vet within 3 days and have her checked out for her health and set up a shot/worming schedule. Just love her and realize how fragile she is. It's late and I don't think I'm very coherent right now. I probablly only touched on a couple of your question but I'm sure you'll get great advice from others here who know a heck of alot more than I do about Yorkies. Where in Ca are you? I live in Vacaville off 80. Congrats on your little girl, Mercedes is a great name. |
haha yeah we named her after our car ..original.. lol! Kristal is a pretty name too! Oh btw, I live in Santa Rosa

I'm glad to hear that someone else has had a similar situation as me and had success! I've just heard of some horror stories about puppies being stressed and low blood sugar & what not so I just want to be cautious. The person we got our baby from had just taken her to the vet a few days ago, so should I still take her to the vet? Or wait till next month for her scheduled vaccines? Oh,That is so funny about your cat though! My cat did the same exact thing! Except she was under a table..for about an hour.. luckily she forgives & forgets.. fast

& thanks for the advice about the food.. my cats eat in the basement where Mercedez won't get to see for a while, especially since she can't walk on any stairs.. lol Oh but thanks so much for your fast like a nascar response haha even though it is a bit late
