 Puppy won't eat -- related to first heat?
Hi guys; my 9 month old puppy hasn't eaten for a couple of days so I've got her on Nutrical, which she now hates and runs away when I open the tube. Desperate, I cut up a slice of my rib eye steak this morning and fed her about an ounce of it or so just so she had some solid food, and she chowed it down. She's on Nutro wet food, but she's been refusing it for the last two days. She's got plenty of energy and gives the cats hell, and she just had her first heat, so is this a heat-related thing? Do puppies stop eating around their heat time? I hate giving her people food but had to get her to eat something. |
