I'm also of the opinion that if he's eating, be happy! You can worry about the food type after you are sure he's going to continue eating. I've been told time and time again that dogs won't starve themselves, but I honestly can't help worrying about Tia when she doesn't want to eat. I'm overprotective like that (my vet hates it too - so many phone calls about food/eating!)

I'm glad to hear that you were able to get some food in him.
