Absorbable/Dissolvable sutures are made of materials which are broken down by the tissues after a given period of time, which depending on the material can be from ten days to eight weeks. The part you see on the outside will not break down as it is not being exposed to the tissues enzymes. However, it should fall out after the internal portion of the suture has been dissolved.
