We just adopted a 5 month old furbutt - Shamus! He is adorable, but the breeder didn't necessarily do the things she told me she did.
He cries all night if not in the same room as us. If he is in the same room as us, if I get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of hte night and he cannot see me, he wakes up the entire household. Sounds like a dinosaur bird soaring through the sky hunting for prey! I had no idea these little guys could sound sound loud and high pitched.
My question is what else can I do to help him feel more secure and how long will this last?
My breeder said he was potty trained...and he is not...and then some.
a) definately not potty trained as she said. He is trained to go on hard surfaces but not sure that counts really.
b) she said he was crate trained - not even close. He pees and pooh's in his crate. Not sure what to do about it but to be consistent with his training here in our home.
C) his shots were behind too.
He is caught up with shots, and we are trying to be consistent with the potty training, but not sure what I can do. Suggestions?
