I would have had to laugh too. I would know that she really did not think my dog was a gerbil but that it was so little it could almost pass for one. Our dogs are tiny. They are cute as gerbils. Only better!
I think this thread really shows what a huge difference there is in the way we all view things. It is no wonder there are sometimes hurt feelings when others cannot figure why. We just do not all think about things the same. Doesn't mean one is wrong and one is right -- just means we have a lot of variety here. I think some people have more ability to laugh at themself and their pups without letting it sink in and ruin their day. Others are more sensitive not only to things said to them but also about things they say to others. It is just part of the wonderful diversity we enjoy in our world and here on YT! I am not a real sensitive type, but Iam glad that the world is balanced by others that are more sensitive. There are times when one works better than the other. No wonder we have both types of people (and every variation in between!)!
