Ours both were just normal small collars but they have had them on since they were babies (we dont use them to walk but just to have for ID). I have used the quick release collars but have found that they sometimes wear out (the plastic pieces) and have come home and they were on the floor and put them on and again they were off. Good luck finding something that you like.
