This person, handler, professional, or whatever, is plain irresponsible.

I think that was just an excuse she came up with, not taking the
dogs out of their crates because she thought it would be cooler in the
van.
Too lazy or too tired after a long day and drive would be my
guess. I would say her career is over, rightfully so, IMO.
Those poor pups and how them must have suffered trying to breathe air.
I can't even imagine the shock of the owner's when they are told there
beautiful show dogs are gone.
