I think it's really hard on males when a female close by is in heat - and I think it's common that they don't eat. During these times, maybe you could try a canned food that is new for him (might be more enticing) - you could supplement w/ a little Nutrical too. Can he have fats? Bc you could also give peanut butter, which is dense in calories.
