You didn't add, he'll lie in his own pee till I get home, so I thought you meant, you'd would see to it that he lies in his own pee. We have many different views of training on this forum, and I rarely say one view is right or wrong because I believe there are many ways to train a dog. However, when I see a post that recommends doing something that is abusive, I have to strongly object. You may have not meant it in this way, but this is the way it sounded to me. Remember, we have people reading the forum that will try your advice, and I didn't want anyone to use this method of punishment. I'm not arguing crate training or not crate training, but crate training must be done in a certain way, and if a person is going to be gone longer than the time suited for the puppy's age, it is recommended that an x pen and pee pads be used.
